Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GurKarkhana mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by GurKarkhana ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
GurKarkhana is a tool that helps jaggery (gur) unit owners record and manage cane intake, farmer accounts, labour, payments, production, sales, and related business information. Features may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You register using your mobile number and log in via one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for keeping access to your number and account secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, including actions by team members you add.
3. Your data and content
You retain ownership of the records and content you enter into the Service. You grant us the limited right to store and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you record, including information about farmers and workers.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others or violates law.
5. Plans and payment
The Service may offer a free tier and paid subscription plans. Pricing and plan details will be shown in the app or on our website and may change with notice. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to the applicable fees. Your records are not deleted merely because a paid plan ends.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Certain features require an internet connection.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. GurKarkhana is a record-keeping and management tool; it does not provide financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and you remain responsible for your own business decisions and compliance.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GurKarkhana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal liability.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in India.
