The company behind GurKarkhana

GurKarkhana is built by GurKarkhana Technologies, an Indian software startup founded in 2026, based in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. We build software for India's ~100,000 village jaggery (gur) units — small rural factories that buy sugarcane from local farmers and today run their whole season on paper ledgers.

Our mission is to give every bhatti owner the number the big sugar mills run on — the true cost of one quintal of gur — along with tamper-proof records for cane weighment, farmer payments and labour, all from a phone, in Hindi and English. The product is developed hands-on with a working jaggery unit and runs on Google Cloud.
